Hi Usha , u can carry keyboard on the plane but  it's Depend on the model of keyboard .

According to the Weight and build of the keyboard u can make Soft case or Hard case to for the travelling. Being a Pianist and keyboard player i have been carrying my Keyboards in hard case for concerts . But sometimes few flights services specifically indigo airlines is charging unnecessary Fees from Musicians to carry to Musicial instruments in the flight .

U should always check the Weight of the instrument with Hard case so that u don't have to pay for  Extra baggage.

Do proper packing from inside because  the hard case because flights mostly out your instrument on Baggage Belt  and don't forget to put Fragile Sticker on the Instrument.
