Is there any scope in robotics for mechanical engineers?

Yes, there is certainly a good scope for mechanical engineers in robotics. Robotics includes programming languages, electronics and mechanics. Do build the architecture of a robot and the designing of mechanical part are mostly done by the mechanical engineers.

All the robots are used to replace certain man power, so the works can be done fast and accurate. Robots are also used in the hazard places where the human can't directly stay to do the work.

There are lot many Applications with robots in our lives.
