Docker is primarily used for Linux and executes operating-system level virtualization, which is also termed as containerization. 

What will the students learn in this Course

In this course, you will learn how to install Docker, configure it for use on your local system, clone and work with Docker images, instantiate containers, mount host volumes, redirect ports and understand how to manage images and containers.

Requirements

• Text editor and browser!
• Admin access to install Docker for Mac/Linux.
• Understand terminal or command prompt basics.
• Linux basics like shells, SSH, and package managers.
• Know the basics of creating a server in the cloud (on any provider).
• Understand the basics of web and database servers. (how they typically communicate, IP's, ports, etc.)
• Have a Docker Hub account.
