Deepanwita Roy is an independent movement practitioner and dancer. She has been trained in contemporary dance techniques such as improvisation, composition, floor works etc along with other forms ballet, Bharatnatyam, indian martial art kalaripayattu, kathak, yoga. She has been extensively teaching, performing, choreograping contemporary dance for past 7year. She is extensively performing and practicing kathak for 4year. She has worked with international and national Choreographers and Artist. Performed in prestigious festivals such as Serendipity Arts Festival, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Soorya Festival etc. She did diploma in movement arts from Attakkalari, was a scholarship student and company dancer with Ground Breaking dance in Goa, She was a scholarship student of Fluid course and also completed a course in Choreography. Recently she is collaborating, teaching, building community and working on several national and international dance projects.
Yoga had been the practice along with dance journey alway. Since last 3years she is teaching yoga. She has been traveling Bangalore, Himachal and Goa as a yoga practitioner.
Recently, for the pandemic she started teaching online. She is eagerly waiting to teach virtually to a larger group of people, now when she can get connected to people from anywhere of the world.
