What is the difference between checked and unchecked exceptions?

Checked Exceptions - compiler can predict when/where the exception is going to be thrown in the code. Ex: FileNotFoundException. UnChecked Exceptions - compiler can NOT predict when/where the exception is going to be thrown in the code. Ex: NullPointerException

What is serialization?

it is nothing but saving a object along with its state/values into a harddisk just like saving a file, music, video. so that we can retrieve it whenever we want.

What is the difference between string, stringbuffer, stringbuilder?

String - immutable (uneditable) StringBuffer - mutable (editable) AND Synchronized (concurrent access is not possible by multiple threads) StringBuilder - mutable (editable) AND UnSynchronized (concurrent access is possible by multiple threads)

For Checked exceptions we need to catch or declare to be thrown using 'throws' at method signature. For Unchecked exceptions we no need to all these.
