If you have some idea on programming before or if you know any one programming language upfront then using the tons of materials available online you can learn it on your own. If you feel you need some guidance while building programs or if you are completely, a new person to porgramming world then i would suggest you to learn it from a proper tutor.

Perserverance is the key. Not just for learning Python rather for learning any language, we have to stick to the process. Try to adopt and apply every single concept that you are learning theoritically into programs and check on that. I would suggest you to try this consistently for atleast a month and see.

Hi, being a Hadoop and Spark trainer for the last three years, I will advise you to learn any one of the programming languages either Java/Python/Scala, so that you can perform data analytics on Hadoop/Spark. Just Unix and SQL will not satisfy the need when it comes to Hadoop. According to your expertise, learn any one of the programming mentioned above.

In IT industry one of the ever green language is Java. I have around 8 years of IT experience and also teaching students for the past 2.5 years many technical courses. Considering the current market, if you want to withstand in the IT industry go for JAVA course. Also Python is one of the leading language and a much easy one compared to the previous generation languages. So my vote will be to JAVA and PYTHON. All the best!!!
