I am a person devoted to music. I have been pursuing Indian Hindustani Classical Music since my age of 5, under the dedicated Jalatarang instrumentalist, my mother, Smt. Shashikala Dani.

With a keen passion towards singing, I love taking up challenges in becoming a versatile singer - starting from varied Classical forms to that of varied Movie genres and I have experimented & recorded some of them for reference, the videos of which can be viewed on my YouTube Channel.

I have completed by 'Sangeet Visharad' degree of 'Akhila Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal' and also been providing concerts in different domains of Vocal viz. Classical, Semi-Classical, Devotional & Film-Karaoke from past one decade.

It would be my life's best experience to expand my horizon of music by sharing my knowledge of Vocal and instruments to the enthusiastic wizards at 'UrbanPro' and would love to interact regarding the same.

Any singer having a proper knowledge of Harmonium can actually render his vocals in a very systematic and more appealing way. I have personally been pursuing Harmonium for past one and a half decade and I would love to share my knowledge and experience to the passionate upcoming musicians. Learning harmonium can actually benefit students in grasping the musical notes quickly which further improves their ability in learning Hindustani classical music

What is the best age to start music lessons?

There is no best age that can be defined to start learning music. If started from childhood, it can develop much better but rather it is the enthusiasm, passion, dedication and perseverance that matters more than the age at which we start to learn.

Hell All, I am 31 years old guy and I would like to learn vocal light music singing, but I dont know whether my voice suits for singing or not and also is it right age to start learning vocal ? is it possible to mold voice by practicing if not good ? Thanks in advance

Hi Nithya, Nobody comes inherited with the knowledge of music. The only thing that counts is how passionately you learn the music and practice it continuously. If you do these two dedicatedly, then there is no hindrance to your learning!

It's good to have known your passion about singing and your interest in Classical Music. Your age is not a barrier at all to learn this genre of music. Do vocal music include any instruments?

Yes! Hindustani Classical Vocals are usually accompanied by Harmonium and Tabla while Carnatic Vocals are accompanied by Violin and Mridangam.
