So, the question is - what is your current level of proficiency?
How high the target you want to set from your current starting point?
The point to which you wish to develop your proficiency.
Again I would like to emphasise “everything is a mindset” so along with learning language, I suggest you work equally to delete this belief that “you lack proficiency” and see results yourself.

Well, you already got good answers by experts, so I would like to add just one more point. Learning a language is like learning any other skill.
For example : Learning a bicyle, innitially you have to pay attention and excel consciously with complete focus, untill the skill goes on auto-pilot mode.
And, it is very much possible to learn online.
