Improve your calculations by learning squares upto 30 at least and cubes upto 20 at least. Learn shorter methods of multiplying, squaring, cubing and finding roots. In simple words pay attention to Number System and basic Algebra as both these things help a lot in improving calculation speeds and the greater part of solving involes calculation and thats where your time is wasted. Apart from this you can use some easy vedic mathetics tricks too to improve it. I can't name all of it here, but i hope you get the idea. Follow above and you will see the difference in less than 10 days. Apart from this pay attention to concepts instead of just getting the shorter method as it will improve you retention of things and also you ability to apply them in various questions which have direct or indirect applications of the same.
