She started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of 5, from Dr. Lata Singh Munshi one of the foremost exponents of the Kalakshertra tradition and a disciple of Padma Shri Leela Samson.

Born in a non-musical family, she got all the support from her parents who struggled a lot to make her a fine dancer.

She has done her graduation in B.A(Bharatanatyam) from Maharani Laxmi Bai College, Bhopal (M.P) in 2015 and M.A(Bharatanatyam) from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishava Vidyalaya, Khairagarh (C.G) in the year 2017.

Blessed with natural flair for the art, and relentless single-
minded devotion, nupur has developed into her present status as an elite performing artist. She has given many performances around the country under the noble guidance of her guru Dr. Lata Singh Munshi.

She has performed at Orchha Festival, Bandhavgad Festival, Nirala Festival and Sangeet Natya Acdemy and had also performed on the various other prestigious stages of India. In 2012, she went to FIJI ISLAND on a dancer tour organized by ICCR with her guru.

She is not only a performer but also working as a teacher and a choreographer too. She has teaching experience of 12 years. She was a former dance teacher in Army Public School, Bhopal for 7 years. She is also presently working as a freelancer.
