Hi, I have been working in IT from the past six years. My primary skills are Unix and SQL. Can I go for a Spark or Hadoop training? Do I need to learn Python for big data? Is there any skill I need to have for spark?
Python is not mandatory for learning spark. But if you have some core Java skills, that will be the add on to learn spark.

I have done my PGDITM(POST GRADUATION DIPLOMA IN Information Technology MANAGEMENT) with FINANCIAL SYSTEMS specialization in 2014. I didn't get a job until now. The reasons that I am getting rejected for is that my graduation is B.TECH and my PG is also in IT. This was the reason given by the companies after asking for a feedback. You can learn Big Data now and try for jobs in IT. Companies are not expecting much experience from candidates as Hadoop is very recent technology. Online tutor is better for your learning.
