The Fundamental Differences Between Btech Computer Science & Btech Information Technology, Is that Computer Science Branch give emphasis to the development of software by using different programming tools,and how internally software interacts with hardware, Where as..Information Technology focuses mostly on software and programming tools giving little importance to how things are internally taking place on the hardware level.
For Industries in todays scenario both CS and IT graduates are same, as in today all people do programming which is same for both branches graduates.

There is almost no difference between IT and CSE BTech.
Some courses which are compulsory in CSE are given as electives in IT, and vice versa.
In general, if you are only looking to learn softwares and how to program or use computers then IT is a better stream. CSE on the contrary, teaches many more fundamental topics related to the inner workings of a computer and gives you a much more in depth knowledge of the internals of a computer, while sacrificing on application based topics.
From the point of view of a job or higher studies, both degrees are almost the same.
