I have 26 years of experience working on Industrial Automation and Electrical control technology in the industry and also long experience working as a part-time trainer. I too have worked as Director technical for Siemens Training center Panchkula from Jan 2012 to Sep 2016. Currently left my job as Head of Automation and electrical control technology from a very reputed organization in Chandigarh.
As per my long experience working in the industry on Industrial Automation, I found that Automation is not merely working on a computer on coding like ladder logic but to first understanding what process/application we are going to control, then deciding actuators and sensors, designing the electrical circuit and last step to develop the logic for that. The same thing can be achieved ( up to 80%of Physical presence) with online training with comprehensive content comprise of graphics animation, real-time programming tools, and other enriched topics based upon the hands-on experience of the teacher.
The efficacy of an online training program depends on that how we can make the student have a feeling of gross(Physical) practice out of virtual practice
