I have been playing keyboard for over 14 years. In addition, I have also completed Grade 6 in keyboard and music theory from Trinity School of Music. To further enhance my musical knowledge, I studied at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, Chennai. During my stay at SAM, I had the opportunity to associate with Leo Vrillaud (former piano faculty, SAM) and learnt advanced music theory under his guidance.

Since my childhood I had a strong passion for playing various instruments like keyboard, drums, guitar and bass. While pursing my Engineering Degree I had the opportunity to perform on various platforms which enhanced my yearning towards music. Subsequently I started teaching music theory and keyboard to music enthusiasts.

My style of teaching focuses on the underlying concepts of music theory, playing techniques and aural training rather than just learning songs. This way the student learns in a more organized manner from the rudimentary level up, which follows that he/she can understand the more difficult concepts with relative ease in turn paving the way to the point he/she can pick up and compose any song on their own.

The course will be focused towards western music theory with occasional correlation with Indian classical. I would be loosely following the Trinity guidelines for this course. A quintessential hour long class would consist of:
Music Theory (20 minutes)
Sight reading (20 minutes)
Aural training (10 minutes)
Keyboard exercises (10 minutes)
