I have 5 years of experience working on projects of companies like Alcatel-Lucent (ALU), Dell, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) & Juniper Networks, where I was working on various network equipment like IP-DSLAMs, Switches, Routers, Server Enclosures, etc. as system programmer.
I strongly believe in this Chinese Proverb -
“Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand”
and hence in "learning by getting involved" strategy. From my personal experience, I've found the missing 'key' in our education system to be 'involvement'. And I make sure my students get involved in the learning process throughout my course.
Keeping this in mind, I design each of my courses in such a fashion that it includes activities which increases students' engagement in the class. And I believe this approach will give them a degree of freedom to think and decide on their own which will help them to educate themselves even after the course completes.
