Overview

My weapon of choice in the world of music happens to be the guitar and my vocals. I have been singing and playing the guitar for close to 11 years and started out as part of my church band. I then moved on to my first project which was in school called 'Uplift'. We recorded an EP titled judgement and were together for 3 years. I was part of the hard rock band 'forte' based out of chennai. I currently play alongside an acoustic group know as EMERY THE BAND CHENNAI. I am a good leader and patience is my specialty. I love teaching and training eager learners the way I believe the guitar is to be taught.

Guitar

"I got three sessions from Prashant until now. So apart from teaching the basics, he concentrates on different techniques which makes you more comfortable while playing. I had little knowledge of playing guitar. Apart from rectifying all the mistakes I do while playing I got to know many things starting from holding the guitar, sitting posture. So If you have a expectation of learning guitar quickly while not skipping the basics Prashant is the guy for you. I look forward to more sessions with him. "

"I have been taking guitar lessons from Prashant for some time now. Appreciate his passion and deep knowledge of the Guitar. This one doesn't go for shortcuts but sincerely approaches the subject from basics. I was actually surprised at his patience level towards someone like me who's a late beginner and moreover considering his reputation of being a guitarist for hard rock bands. Thanks a lot Prashant. Well, I do believe it is a must that you purchase a guitar before starting classes because you will need to practice on your own as well. Now that being said. So, I would recommend getting the help of your music teacher if he or she is experienced in this matter. My suggestions if you are a beginner would be
1. Yamaha f310
2. Kadence Slowhand Series
3. Kempa a1ce
I hope this answers your question.

Well, if you are a rapper and that is your genre, then it is one that you need to explore on your own first or with a group of other rappers together. My suggestion would be to collaborate with a few musicians depending on what instruments you require. Now here's the thing with songwriting, a lot of the time I feel that the songwriter should come up with the music as well or at least have an idea of what they would want the track to sound like because only they understand with what intention they wrote a particular song. So, it is suggested to you would be to purchase a home recording setup (if you don't have one already) and start recording demos or tracks and gather social media attention before anything else. You can even get drum tracks, bass tracks and even keyboard tracks so you can create your music. I hope this answered your query.

A semi-acoustic does sound similar to an acoustic guitar, but if we are getting into a discussion of tones, it all depends on the type of wood that is used in either class. Now if your gig doesn't require you to stand for long periods, it is preferable to mic up an acoustic guitar to get the purest tone from the guitar. The upside of a semi-acoustic is yes, you can plug it into an amp and jam, but if you are concerned about the tone of your guitar, then you will find that in most lower budget semi-acoustics, the pickups used won't deliver the authentic sound of the guitar. Now here's the tricky bit, you can install pickups on an acoustic guitar and turn it into a semi-acoustic. There are two ways:
1. Using a pickup across the soundhole. E.g., Fishman Rare Earth or Neo Buster.
2. Cutting a hole for a guitar Jack and screwing the pickup controls onto the side of the guitar's body similar to a semi-acoustic.
