I am patient and kind teacher with a passion to provide high-quality, enjoyable lessons for my students. I am the Head of Shankar Academy, based in Mylapore, Chennai, which provides tuition classes for 8th - 12th students of CBSE and State Board across all subjects. We focus on concept-based learning, problem-solving and exam practice.
I have a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London, United Kingdom - one of the top 10 universities in the world. I have more than 6 years of teaching experience and I have been awarded the Graduate Teacher of the Year Award by the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, UK. I am a native English speaker and I have studied, worked and lived in London, UK for 20 years. I am an avid linguist and teach Communicative English for both beginner's and advanced level. We cover speaking, writing, grammar, conversation practice, public speaking, e-mail and letter writing.
