Volt,V is a measure of electrical potential difference. Ground or earth is defined as zero potential. A live domestic electrical wiring is at 220 V. A common batter is at a potential difference of 1.5 V from the earth. Current flows from higher potential to lower potential. This is just like water flowing from a higher level to a lower level. 

Watt, W is the measure of Power or the amount of work done in Joules per second by the current. It is the product of Voltage and Current, I. W = VI. It is the rate of consumption of electric energy by a circuit where the potential difference is 1 Volt and the current flowing is 1 Amp.

Watt is unit of power and one watt is defined as the the per unit time taken to complete one Joule of work is one watt. Whereas volt is unit of potential difference.It is defined as the the one Joule of work done to move one unit positive charge from one place to another place.
