Drinking such water absorbs minerals which are present in our body and makes us unhealthy. So, it's unsafe to drink Demineralised or Distilled water.

It is one of the most common question in my school days - what will happen if I drink distilled water?

Let's explore the truth.

How distilled water prepared?

We can produce distilled water by boiling normal water and then condensing the collected steam back into a liquid. This process removes impurities and minerals as well. So, distilled water doesn’t provide you with minerals like calcium and magnesium that you get from tap water.

Because it doesn’t contain its own minerals, distilled water has a tendency to pull them from whatever it touches to maintain a balance. So when you drink distilled water, it may pull small amounts of minerals from your body. But it is not very serious because the minerals you are receiving  from your regular diet can easily balance mineral loss due to drinking distilled water. But a reminder for you - if you want to drink distilled water, you must take your deit properly.

The major use of a distilled water is - if you are living in a place where water contains excess unnecessary mineral which may leads to sever health disorder then distill water will help you.

Distilled water = Normal tap water - minerals (+intoxicants if any).

Your cannot expect any sort of health improvement by drinking distilled water. Anyway if you determined to drink distilled water please take proper deit.

Thank you very much.

Yes, distilled water can be used for drinking. If drinking wateris purified using distillation, the resulting water is cleaner and more pure than before. The water is safe to drink. The disadvantage of drinking this water is that most of the natural minerals in the water is gone.
