Putting in all your effort yet not scoring well during exams is a common challenge that students face. So why exactly does student fail in getting good marks? Well, the first place where students go wrong in their effort to score well is, they follow wrong study pattern. In the pressure to be the best and cover entire syllabus, students go wrong in their learning pattern. Performance in an exam is not based on how much time you spend with the books and copies; it is about how much you really learn during your study hours. So that students can make maximum from their study time without extending hours, here is suggesting six innovative study style that enabled many students to score good marks. Following these study, patterns are sure to bring in a difference to the child’s performance during exam if tried with dedication and interest. Read and write Study time includes two principal activities -- reading and writing. Along reading or writing cannot make one remember what they study. The ideal way is to balance reading and writing. To do this, one way is to first read, understand the concept and then write the same. For some students seeing the lesson and repeatedly writing the same also make it easy to memorize for exams. Pick your own study time Students often study so that their mothers don’t scold them or fathers don’t yell at them. However, if as a student you are really keen to study and learn, then parents need not come into the scene. Simply pick the time when you want to study. Some students prefer early morning studying before going for the exam, some study at night when it is calm and quite. So as a student just pick when you want to study and stick to that. It is better to study willingly than going in a pressurized way. Start with the difficult chapters When studying often students limit their learning to chapters and lessons that they find easy. This is a very wrong approach to studying. Students should start learning the difficult chapters first and then move on to the ones they are confident about. This is because when students start learning, the energy is more and it becomes easy to pick the difficult chapters. With passing time, the energy level for studying goes down and then students can limit to their favourite chapters. Reading aloud to learn Though this varies from student to student, yet reading aloud is also a healthy way of remembering your lessons. Simply cover your ears so that no other distracting sound can come in and read aloud. This will let you understand what you are reading easily and remembering at the same time. Going for listicles and bullet points Many times the vast texts in books or notes make lessons look very lengthy to students. Here parents and teachers can help students to manage the chapter by arranging it in bullet points. This method is very helpful in case of subjects like literature, history, science, and geography. However, during the exam students must ensure that they do not only replicate in bullet points but elaborately write what they are expected to. Expand your study circle Studying alone involves many drawbacks like getting bored or not being able to focus. Here comes the alternative, where you can study in a group. Group study makes the study time fun filled and also develops a sense of competitiveness among the students. However, parents and teachers must ensure that during group study, children in the right company and association.
