Kinetic Energy All moving things have kinetic energy. It is energy possessed by an object due to its motion or movement. These include very large things, like planets, and very small ones, like atoms. The heavier a thing is, and the faster it moves, the more kinetic energy it has.

moving energy is called kinetic energy.

There are two forms of energy - potential energy and kinetic energy potential energy is energy possessed by body in rest position.eg-water in tub kinetic energy is the energy possessed by moving body.eg-water falls

Formula - (1/2)*m*v^2 ,If we through a stone by force on a glass , the glass breaks down due to the energy produced by the speed of the stone.

I KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN.

Kinetic energy of any object is defined as the energy possesed by that object by virtue of its motion. If an object has mass m and it is moving with a velocity of v, then the k.e. possesed by that object is given by 1/2multiply m(vsquare).

Kinetic energy is the energy of motion, observable as the movement of an object, particle, or set of particles. Any object in motion is using kinetic energy: a person walking, a thrown baseball, a crumb falling from a table, and a charged particle in an electric field are all examples of kinetic energy at work. Objects that are not in motion possess potential energy (the other main type of energy), which is converted to kinetic energy when some force , such as gravity , acts upon the object to set it in motion. Elastic potential energy, for example, is stored in a stretched rubber band; when the rubber band is released, the stored energy is converted to kinetic energy. read less

Object that are not in motion are said to be potential energy. Potential energy is the stored energy of position possessed by an object example a drawn bow is able to store energy as the result of its position. When assuming its usual position (i.e., when not drawn), there is no energy stored in the bow. Yet when its position is altered from its usual equilibrium position, the bow is able to store energy by virtue of its position. This stored energy of position is referred to as potential energy. read less

A body in motion is kinetic energy example still water is potential energy and water fall is kinetic energy.

Kinetic energy is the energy of motion. An object that has motion - whether it is vertical or horizontal motion - has kinetic energy. These include very large things like planets or very small like atoms.
