Rice cultivation is much suited to tamilnadi, andhra, and Karnataka because it 1)It is staple food crop for people in south India who are poor & medium farmers 2) we have more tanks , lakes , and we’ll irrigation , and non perrennial rivers 3) it is family labour & cost free ,4) it gives job to labourers jobs in agriculture during non urban unemployment periods .. it can provide food for the entire nation & more so much in southern states.. Characteristics of rice cultivation are
(i) It is the staple food crop of a majority of the people in India.
(ii) India is the second largest producer in the world after China.
(iii) Dense network areas of canal irrigation and tubewells have made it possible to grow rice in areas of less rainfall such as Punjab, Haryana and Western UP.
