It is to be known that the carbonates that are present in the salt of carbonic acid possessing a carbonate ion. On the other hand, The carbonates of Hydrogen are formed when CO2 is reacting with water.

The ethanoic acid combined with carbonates, as well as the carbonates of Hydrogen leads to the production of salt, C02 and H20. This salt that is formed is known as the sodium acetate.

CO2(aq)+H2O---> H(+) + HCO3-

2CH3COOH + NA2CO3---> 2CH3COONa+H2O+CO2

CH3COOH+NaHCO3---> CH3COONa+H2O+CO2

Hope this helps

Ethanoic acid reacts with carbonates and hydrogen carbonates to give salt, water, and carbon dioxide. 2 Ethanoic acid + sodium carbonate --> 2 sodium ethanoate + water + carbon dioxide 2 CH3COOH + Na2CO3 --> 2 CH3COONa + H2O + CO2

NaHCO3 + HC2H3O2 → NaC2H3O2 + H2O + CO2 Na2 CO3 + 2 CH3COOH → 2 CH3COONa + CO2 + H2O

While the gas, carbon dioxide bubbles through the test tube, the salt and water formed remain as precipitate. The carbonate used mostly is sodium carbonate so the salt formed is sodium ethanoate, respectively. ( It is also known as "the vinegar and baking soda reaction" in an oddly-formal way. )

With Sodium Carbonate :

Na2CO3 + 2CH3COOH --> 2CH3COONa + H2O + CO2

With Sodium Ethanoate :

NaHCO3 + CH3COOH --> CH3COONa + H2O + CO2
