I have tought a lot of students till now and the one thing I observed that any particular teaching style can't work on every student. We have to adopt new pattern, skill and new way according to students creativity level, catching power & changing environment.
But the general way is to make them understand every little information, not just keep mugging all the time.
Being a teacher, I always want to aspire them towards their goal and act like their back support. In reality, I see myself in every student and it make me really happy.
At the end, Result doesn't matter, our chosen way & hard work matter.
