Important Tips For Following A Long-Term Diet!

  • Totally avoid Junk food like Burgers, fried snacks, packaged chips, etc.
  • Anything at contains Maida or flour like Naan, outside soups, manchurian balls, etc.
  • Avoid bad sugar like that we get in chocolates, ice-creams, coke-pepsi, other packaged drinks, etc.
  • Drink coconut water daily first thing in the morning for half days in the week and Drink warm water with lemon for other days in the week.
  • Eat salad every day in lunch.
  • Drink chaas or have dahi in lunch (avoid flavoured yogurts).
  • Avoid wheat roti and go for Multivitamin Bran roti or Jawar roti.
  • In dinne, have daal-chaval, khichdi kadi, or any form of rice (Avoid brown rice).
  • Have pickle during any meal but include it in your diet.
  • Have almonds and walnuts everyday soaked overnight in the morning before breakfast.
  • Have two servings of fruit one before lunch and other anytime that you like but not after dinner.
  • Have warm milk with turmeric powder or any milk masala during bedtime (Avoid having milk in the morning specially warm if you want to have milk then have cold in form of shake or so).
  • Don’t drink water 1 hour before bed time.
  • Drink 3 litres of liquid in a day.
  • Have 1 to 2 tablespoons of ghee every day in any form on chapatti or with rice or during breakfast but ghee is a must.
  • Have high fibre content breakfast like upma, namkeen dalia, brown bread vegetable sandwich, kanda poha, yellow moong daal childa, besan childa or homemade masala oats.
  • Avoid soup or salads in dinner every day sometimes it is fine.
  • Have 8 hours of compulsory sleep every night.
  • You can have good sugar like homemade sweets besan ka laddoo, badam halwa, coconut laddoo, etc. but moderation is the key (one at a time).
  • Remember: Besan is better than having wheat! So having besan pakodas at times is fine as far as having in moderation.
  • Outside food or binge or cheating is fine once in a week but then again remember loading yourself with lots of junk will bring back that pounds that you invested time to loose. So while eating outside choose your options smartly!
  • One of the forms of good sugar is Jaggery and this helps in weight loss. Having jaggery in any form like chikki, lapsi or in its raw form will aid in weight loss.
