Hi guys. I am good at sketching and I work with Pencil and pen and ink. I know i can sketch better than most, but now I want to take it to the next level, which I have decided, is trying to get my work exhibited and teach sketching. Why do sketches look better than line art so often?
Sketches are often quick and loose. This allows the mark making to be fresh and open. when you begin to line the work you are making the marks all the same weight and it takes the freshness away from the original sketch.
