I completed my B.Tech in may 2019 in Electronics and Communication with 71% from an NIT. Since no company came for placements in Core company I ended up in a software development job. I joined this job in Bengaluru last month and got Web development Role. But I want to switch to some Electronics Core job. Embedded System or VLSI. I will really appreciate your suggestions

I want to give you a frank answer here. I am the same one who suffered from the same situation. I worked in IT for one year then I wanted to enter to Electronics domain. I did it. I took the VLSI Course. But now I feel being software would have been better. Only for a reason " Industry is totally down-VLSI". So please don't waste your valuable job and try to switch end up spending money for courses and being jobless. I can say an Embedded system is better in openings than VLSI.

Embedded is Best compared to VLSI. VLSI jobs are high paid jobs; however, the semiconductor market is narrowing down. Though it's high paying job to switch jobs in semiconductor would be challenging shortly.
Embedded development has tonnes of Job opportunities wise across the world.
In embedded again, Linux is going to play a significant role due to open source, Embedded with a combination of Linux which includes Operating System concepts, Linux device drivers, IoT has vast potential. Reach me to explore more about Embedded course.
