Answer to Q.2 It is better to continue MS immediately after your UG. Since you are going to specialize in the area of your interest a break is not advisable. In case you are going to pursue MBA, then experience becomes necessary.

Can't say about minimum number of hours. It depends on your current skill set. But irrespective of your skill set, you can master the preparation in maximum 6 months. If you are serious about higher studies, you can go there as a fresher. Anyways you will be getting a entry level job there and many companies prefer freshers (Master's Student). For MBA aspirants, job experience of 2-3 years is a must. read less

You can prepare for the GRE within one month as well but it's always better if you spend good time with GRE practice and mock sessions. Moreover taking a Job for atleast two year in the relevant field will give you confidence and experience both.

Answer for 2nd Question: If you could get an opportunity to complete MS after your B.Tech with good GRE Score and i20 form good university then it will be perfect and in worst if you couldn't score well then reappear for GRE and equally look for a job also coz whatever time you are spending in preparation after your B.Tech then it it will be better you will continue with you job also. 1. Minimum you would need one month or one and half months to be ready for GRE. 2. It is personal preference, some might feel after job is better, some might do it right away. It should be you to decide, as per my preference, do one year of job first.
