For learning guitar at home you can take online classes or a home tutor. If you have your basic clear of playing guitar then you can surf out online... Youtube etc.... or just simply search the chords of the song and play.. but for this you must have to know all the basic chords.

Dedication, practice and maybe a tutor to teach you at home. I was self taught until 2011 when I joined Musicians Institute in Hollywood CA. The difference a professional teaching course had on my playing and overall musicianship has been phenomenal to say the least.

What are some good songs to learn on the guitar for beginners?
I think as a begginer one should go for songs in which basic chords are used these are ; Tum Hi, Mera Mann Kehne Lga, Saddi Gli, Pani Da Rang, Humsafar, Nazm Nazm, Nothing Else Matter and many more.
