The only way for u to get unused to the harmonium is that u will hv to completely stop using harmonium in ur practice. U will need to practice only using the taanpura. It’ll be quite hard initially since u will not know whether ur singing correctly or not. But eventually u will get used to not using the harmonium.

Singing is considered the most difficult form of art for the reason that all the notes are up in the air (compared to other art forms such as instrument or dance where there’s some visual help) and the way to gain understanding of the correctness of the notes is by prolonged practice with only the taanpura as ur aid. Good luck.
