There is no hate for Hindi language from the side of Tamilians. It is just that they are very culture-oriented and thus prefer to speak in Tamil more than Hindi. That's the reason there is less Hindi influence in the southern part of the country.

It's because the fear that Hindi will kill their Culture but English will not do so. They don't know that every state of India has their Mother tongue but for mutual understanding they speak Hindi and that's why they get chance to learn each other culture.
