Carnatic music has homogenous and Hindustani music has a heterogeneous Indian tradition. Carnatic music has a restrained and intellectual character as compared with the more secular Hindustani traditions. The major vocal forms of Hindustani music are Dhrupad, Khayal, Tarana, Thumri, Dadra and Gazals.

I sing hindi songs verywell now I want to learn indian classical vocal. Where should i learn means which is the good institute or teacher or gharana to learn in noida(first choice) and delhi.
Its better to learn in a private class because in institutes teacher teaches the students in group so he cannot give proper attention to all.
