Hadoop is one of the hottest technologies in the market.
To understand it very simple, usually, we use Oracle to store the data, but it can't handle a larger amount of data storage. An alternative approach is to go for Hadoop. It is used to store a large amount of data (see Facebook or Amazon or Netflix data.:) :) They can't maintain the data in single Oracle DB.). The data will be distributed across systems, simple.

It's good that you are looking for a career path at B.Sc level itself. Though I would suggest you go for:
1) Higher studies and parallelly learn some right course on a trend basis(because it keeps changing).
2) Learn some javascript related course(angular, react) along with Pega/SalesForce but to complete this, you must learn at least Core Java. Because Core Java is base for any upcoming technologies.

We have two kinds of support role here :
1)Application support
2)Infra Support.
3)Application + Infra Support.
Application Support : Not reuired , but its good to have so that you can jump onto dev partners at any point of time if you get chance so that your career will be more brighter and you will have clear business knowledge on the application with this support.
Infra Support : Its good to have deployment tools knowledge (like Jenkins , K2V , Server related stuff, AWS , cloud etc..) at high level then you can do you job more intresting and strong.
Applicaiton + Infra : Bit technical is reuired to move ahead.
Note : in any role , having technical knowledge is optional. To become more strong , its recommended to have. Its matter of 30-40 days of learning based on your intrest.

Good question. Both are good options for the wonderful career. But more likely, Java is the better way to choose(since anyways you have knowledge on asp.net which you continue to learn). If you go with Java(at least core java) you will get to work on latest tech stack like Hadoop, Pega, RPA, Selenium, Python, OO JavaScript, Big Data, AWS .. what not..? So that you can become Jack of all and Master of Java as well where all industries looking for such guys as the techie resources.
