I have done senior in Carnatic classical music Vocals and presently pursuing Vidwath. I'm also a senior in Veena (Instrumental). I have a teaching experience of nearly 8 years with Carnatic, light and devotional songs. Can also teach bollywood or other movie/recreational songs depending on request. I have been a student of Singer/composer Hamsalekha sir and HS Nagaraju sir. Won many competitions at state level and was also in top 5 of Voice of Bangalore. I have mainly like to take classes to students who are interested in Carnatic Classical. Also i train them for competitions and be a mentor during the same. I have students from all across the world and I'm mainly interested in teaching students individually so that corrections can be made at minute level.

Is it necessary to take formal vocal music training to become a singer?

Formal vocal training is not required.but for sure you need basic knowledge for pitch and swaras

What is the difference between classical and vocal music?

Classical is something which is in detail and with the proper syllabus .voice is nothing but practising to perform any kind or songs.which can be western music classical hindustani bollyhood or any language songs

Classical music is nothing but the language .in which we learn swara first and then sahitya.but in light music we don't sing swara..we sing only sahitya.and in light music you can compose the lyrics with your fav Raaga and perform.but in classical music we have to sing according to the swaras which have... ...more

Can I learn Indian classical vocal music accompanied by Piano ?

You can sing any kind of music with piano.infact it helps to know the pitch and help to sing in the better way.many of my students use piano when they miss the swara sthana.just for thr reference.it can be western or classical you can play and accompany

How did vocal music influence instrumental music during the Renaissance period?

When you know the knowledge of swarastanas ,thaala and how to sing in the proper way.it will be easy to with the knowledge.bec if we know the swara and sahitya knowledge.then we can easily play any kind of songs with the instruments.
