Prudhvi Mankena

My name is Mankena Prudhvi. I'm from Telangana. I completed my graduation in 2022 from Mahaveer Institute of Science and Technology. During my B. Tech, I offered chess tuition to a student who had a keen interest in the game but struggled with specific aspects, particularly in understanding strategic and developing a consistent opening repertoire. In our sessions, I assessed the student's playing style, strengths, and weaknesses. Recognizing a need for improvement in strategic planning, we focused on dissecting classic games and discussing the reasoning behind each move. I emphasized the importance of understanding the principles of chess openings, middle game strategies, and endgame techniques. we would recreate certain positions on the chessboard, and I encouraged the student to formulate plans and strategies based on the principles we had discussed.

Over time, the student's game play evolved. Not only did they grasp the strategic elements better, but they also developed a more solid opening repertoire, leading to improved performances in friendly matches and online games. This experience not only highlighted my ability to adapt teaching methods to suit a student's learning style but also showcased the transformative impact of personalized chess coaching on skill development and overall enjoyment of the game
