Hadoop is a distributed computing system. It is based on the divide and conquers approach to solve computer science and machine learning data processing problems. It divides chunks of problems to multiple computers over a network for analysis.
As a practical example of, we need to process a dataset with millions of rows and thousands of columns would take hours and days to compute but can be done on a few minutes on Hadoop. This reduces day to insights and actions time, making data more useful and faster.
