Javascript is is used to provide Interaction and data validation on the Client Side or User Interface of a web application or web site. For an example, you have seen websites wherein if you click the '+' sign, that section expands, another example being when you choose a Country from a Drop Down Box, All the states of that Country are updated in the relvant Drop Down box. And in almost all the websites, if you give a improper user id, mail id or password, you will not be allowed to proceed further, which is technically called as data validation. All these are programmed using JavaScript or Jquery.
