Becoming better at JavaScript is a great goal, and that's the one thing all web developers always strive to accomplish. In order to meet this goal, it can be helpful to be strategic about what you wish to accomplish and learn. I have found that it's important to remember your reason for wanting to become better at JavaScript. This allows you to re-visit your why if you get stuck, and it can be a powerful way to stay motivated. With that in mind, I will offer a process you can use. It is a very general framework, which I hope will allow you to plug in your own goals and keep moving forward

Let's look at some points which will help us to be better at JavaScript:

  1. Evaluate Local Variables
  2. Create shortcut codes to speed up coding
  3. Manipulate element fragments before adding them to DOM
  4. Save bytes by using Minification
  5. Don't use nested loops if not required
  6. Cache objects to increase performance
  7. Use a .js file to cache scripts
  8. Place JavaScript at the bottom of the page
  9. Use jQuery as a framework
  10. Compress your files with GZip
  11. Don't use "With" keyword
  12. Minimize requests for HTTP
