IdentityMy teaching or rather training experience has been an off-shoot of my work experience. The last eight years as a trainer has been the most rewarding experience of my career. For a teacher or a trainer, the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with others and witness the development of an individual finds no comparison.
I personally believe that for the transfer of ideas and views, there must be dialogue between the participants, and that is why I favor the participatory method of knowledge transfer.
Communication is my forte. Whether in the written form or spoken, I possess extremely strong communication skills. This is one area where I lay a lot of stress and try to develop in my trainees. Because, no matter how good one's resume or certificates or diplomas may look, the deciding factor for success is good communication skills.
In the field of teaching or training, not all students/trainees are equal. I have realized this from my experience as a trainer. That being said, no one can be ignored in a batch. I have had to be flexible in my approach with my students/trainees.
When all is said and done, the reward of seeing a student/trainee grow in self confidence is immense.
