There is only one method to improve your vocabulary effectively, that is associating the new word with your current example. So bear with me, I am going to explain everything, that will help you immensely as it has helped me. I was also not much in English a few years back, then I did wonders, and now, I am teaching the English language. I have been certified by "Teaching as a foreign language".How not to study vocabulary?

1). Do not just remember any vocabulary from any book.

2). Do not memorise. You can not remember for a long time. There are no fruitful results of just memorising.

3). Do not separate the vocabulary from the sentence. It is one of the significant mistake peoples do.

Now, How to study:

1. Take any book which interests you and read as intensely as Budhha did meditate. Now, Let me explain. While you are reading., you will be encountered with many words. Instead of writing and just mugging up, try to draw the context of that word. The best way to be doing that is to find the root of words. You can easily search on the Internet and try to invest some time here to grasp the context. Do not be in a hurry as most of the people do. As a result of that, people do not even speak correctly.

2). You know better, our brains work in pictures, so if you manage to picturise the whole vocabulary in any context, you have hooked in your mind.

3) Always study any vocabulary in full sentences. For example; If I consider the word"imminent"...do not just write "imminent" and it's meaning, but writing it with a full sentence, where you have taken this word from .so, I would write"imminent threat".that will be staying in your mind longer.

Last, just have a look once in 30 days. You will see change dramatically.

See, if you expand the function x|x|, you will get  (square of x)  in (0,∞). But  (negative of the square of x)-  in (-∞ ,0). so now if you plot the graph, the graph will be downward parabola in one part of the x-axis and another upward parabola. So, it is neither odd nor even.

See, position vector is a line joining from origin to that specific point. So let's say point A has coordinate (2,3) and O is the origin, then vector OA is the position vector.

Now in case of the displacement vector, let's say there is another point" B" so OB will be again a position vector, but Vector AB is a displacement vector.

So by now, It is clear, displacement vector is difference between two positions vector.

So, in conclusion, the displacement vector is the difference between the two-position vector.

But position vector is always calculated about the origin.
