He has held positions as a show host and anchor for Times Group, a film reporter for Star & Super Star Magazine (Cineyug Group Mumbai), a part-time radio presenter for Akashvani Kolkata (Yuvavani), and a public relations and communication executive for Baaya Design (Mumbai). In his former position as a PR executive at Wonderla Vacations Private Limited, he was in charge of a wide variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to corporate communication; media relations; public relations; advertising; branding; media planning; and publicity.
A number of significant awards and distinctions have been bestowed upon Rohit Ganguly in appreciation of the contributions that he has made to the field of communication during the course of his career. He won the first place in the “Crossover Cinema" competition, which was held at Pune's Symbiosis Institute of Public Communication in 2005. Dr. Ganguly is currently working as a full-time faculty (assistant professor) in Swami Vivekananda Institute of Modern Science. He has previously worked as a full-time professor in Pailan College of Management & Technology, Bhawanipore Gujarati Education Society, and LN College. Apart from that, he also worked as a guest faculty in Vivekananda College, Academy of Professional Studies (Mass Communication & Videography. The courses that he teaches cover a wide variety of topics related to media and communication. His students are from all over India, and apart from teaching them, he also helps them with Ph.D. research.
