I have been in the Teaching line for quite some time now. I am one of the founder members of Sacred Heart Academy (Kolkata). I was the Head Faculty in Tiny Steps School (New Delhi) where apart from Teaching, I also held Councelling sessions for students and Guardians. How do you encourage creativity in young children?

Story building, Rhyming words, Act and show, A lot of crayons and colors... Special one.... Say a sentence starting with...A, W, P etc

What is your approach to teaching basic shapes and colors?

I would always associate objects with shapes. As many as possible. Also with colours, I would identify them with objects. Also, a good idea to teach colours to a kid is to give them commands like... Bring the blue pen Where is your green bag? Show me your red shirt...etc ...more

How do you handle food allergies and dietary restrictions?

First I try yo find out which food or combination of food is causing the allergy. If I fail to infer, I go to a doctor who would help me along with some tests if needed. After I know the cause, I would simply abstain from the cause or take certain anti allergy drug in case having the food is essential.... ...more
