IdentityA leading female vocalist of the country, Subhra Guha is regarded as one of the finest female exponents of the Agra gharana. Hailing from a music loving family, Subhra received her early training from Late Shri Satish Bhowmick and subsequently, took advanced training from one of the veterans of the Agra gharana, Late Pandit Sunil Bose. In 1982, she joined ITC Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata where Pandit Sunil Bose was a Guru. For ten years, she received uninterrupted training from him as a scholar of the Academy. Later, she received training and valuable guidance from the stalwarts Late Pandit K G Ginde, Late Pandit D T Joshi and Pandit Vijay Kichlu.
