Susanta Ghosh

Susanta Ghosh, is a promising Kathak artist, an educator and choreographer from India, Kolkata. He is a, graded artist of Doordarshan Kendra, Prasar Bharati. Awarded diploma of Sangeet Visharad from Pracheen Kala Kendra. He has performed many prestigious festivals all over India like Uday Shankar Festival, Pratishruti Festiva, choreography festival, Uttar Purva Sanskriti Sangam Festival, Stars Of Tomorrow, Parampara Festival, Sadhna Festival, Dhauli Kalinga Mahotsav, Vasant Utsav, World Culture Festival, Chakradhar Samaraho many more to name a few. In 2018 he travelled Egypt for ICCR trip under the choreography of Guru Smt. Paramita Maitra.
Susanta began his training at the tender age of 4 under the tutelage of Smt. Sudipta Chakraborty. Thereafter he joined Chhandam Nritya Bharati (Kolkata) to the most dynamic and far-reaching Kathak maestro Pandit Chitresh Das Ji. Under the guidance of Branch Director Smt. Indrani Mallick Ji. Later he continued his talim under the able supervision of Guru Sri. Sandip Mallick Ji. At the very same time, he also pursued and still continuing in-depth talim from Padma BiBhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji and Vidushi Saswati Sen Ji by attending the regular workshop from the year 2010. He is also fortunate enough to learn from stalwarts like Padma Bhushan Smt. Kumudini Lakhiya Ji, Guru Smt. Sreelekha Mukherjee Ji, Guru Smt. Vaswati Mishra Ji and many others by attending their intensive workshops.
