I think You Like Music as a listener. When you listen your mind insists you sing which is normal. But like music and learning music is very different because we can inspire by anything good but when you start to learn it demands dedication and time which is very important. So first set your mind about your aim.

No it is not necesaary...Actually vocal music is depend on musical sense..If difficult things you are able to do easily by your vocal which is God Gifted we say then you can sing any kind of song. Classical music only helpful to build up vocal flexibilities and confidence to sing. Actually changing the expression of vocal with the situation or lyrics of the song is the main thing which you will not find in any Books. You have to realise it from your own mind.

No one is the best it depends on your ideology of listening to Indian Classical Music. There are different Gharanas style of singing which you prefer it depends on you initially If you Listen:
1.Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali khan
2. Ustad Amir Khan Saheb
3. Pandit Bhimsen Joshi,
4. Ustad Najakat & Salamat Ali khan, you don't need to listen to any others song because they are creator and legend and rest of all followers of them.
