There is an old proverb, "whats in front of your eyes, is in your mind" This has been the foundation of advertising for a long time and we've seen marketeers compete in advertising space historically. World is shifting towards digitization. In my opinion digital marketing skill were not so important few yrs back but now with the spurt in mobile technology it is a must. Today, its a mobile that is in front of one's eyes and you ought to be present there and so you need to have the digital skills to be there. The mobile subscriber base is gonna grow exponentially. Its a mobile that has brought mass internetification of rural world and there is still a long way.

Will learning advertising help a sales person in his work?

It purely depends on what kind of industry you are in. A B2B sales guy need not do a course of advertising but it is a must for some one in FMCG or some B@C marketing etc. You need to analyze the kind of customer u r targeting and what's the best means to reach out to them and place your products or... ...more
