IdentityI have been working with Java for close to two decades years. I love programming (I love going to work!) because of those aha moments when you figure out why your program isn't working or when you see all your hard work turn into something usable. I love extending my passion to my students.
Besides my lengthy experience with Java in the workplace, my credentials include close to 500+ hours of tutoring experience with Java, Spring, HTML, CSS, Etc. I enjoy helping college and high school students successfully navigate their computer science courses. I will help you understand your programming assignments and projects by explaining Java concepts and guiding your coding. I am very patient with my students and will adjust my tutoring style to fit your best method of learning.
I will help you understand basic Java concepts such as if/else logic, loops, arrays and functions (including recursion) as well as the more abstract areas of Java as an object oriented programming language such as inheritance and interfaces. I will help you understand Java data structures -- such as HashMaps and ArrayLists -- and how to use Java APIs to program Junits, JSON, and XML/DOM manipulation.
Computer programming is a huge and exciting field. I promise to be honest with you about what I do know and what I don't know. I look forward to entering this exciting world with you.
