UGC-NET National Eligibility Test is conducted to test the eligibility of a candidate to teach in college and university level and to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to Indian nationals who wants to enter the teaching profession and research. In 2013, Union Grants Commission announced NET scores (candidates who successfully clear the exam) would be eligible for PSUs jobs. The NET exam primarily tests the teaching or research aptitude, reasoning ability, divergent thinking, general awareness and comprehension ability of a candidate.
