I want to create a wiki site for my team using SharePoint. What should I learn to prepare this, SharePoint admin or developer?

You need to learn Shatepoint Administration . As Sharepoint Admin your core responsibilities are to create Sites, wikis , blogs ,community, calendars and configure & manage multiple sites from central administration page in sharepoint
FYI , Sharepoint development is useful if you have knowledge in. Net programming as you need to create custom workflows and integrate them in Sharepoint site
If you have knowledge in networking and server then the path is Sharepoint Administration
Also you need to upgrade as office 365 administration
