I presume as an entrepreneur you are planning to launch a start-up with a business plan and will hire few folks to develop the software that will implement your business plan. In this case your primary role is expected to be direct the business and you also must have a fair amount of understanding of the technologies that would eventually be used by your team to develop the software that you are talking about. In that case, you need to have a broad understanding of mobile applications, different types, platforms, various tools available in the market, pros and cons, publishing mechanism, cost of development, publishing and maintenance involved, local language support, user interface guidelines etc. You may not have to get into nitty gritty of these topics but you should have a fair understanding of the subject without getting into coding. The same applies for the web site which, I guess will work in conjunction of the mobile app. Here also you need to have a broad overview of various topics. The third important piece that you need to have an overview is the connectivity mechanism among various components for example how does the mobile apk connect to the web app, what are the different protocols used, pros and cons, etc. And of course wile going through these topics you eventually have to touch upon the data storage on mobile device or an enterprise back-end RDBMS. Considering this pick up few intro kind of books that discuss these subjects at higher level. You can browse internet sites or even enrol yourself for some introductory course on Udemy or Coursera or Lynda. You can also attend some trainings programs offered by some of the Indian companies. Overall your objective should be, as the owner of the start-up business, to understand what technologies constitute and run your business, how they interface with each other, what more can be done as next step, current pros and cons, how is the competition landscape, etc. But, if you are trying to learn how to program the web and mobile and develop the software in your entrepreneurial then it is a ballgame altogether different. You would be staring at a very long and steep learning curve to be comfortable with technologies and then develop something that would eventually yield something you could have achieved two years before. read less

Then decide upon the stacks by reading tech blogs. When you have decided the stack then learn the same. After you are done with learning the critical part is deployment and choosing a vendor for that, for starter you can use Heroku and mLab and when the business is mature then move to AWS or Azure other related services. Hope that this helps you. read less
